Osteopathy

Cranial Osteopathy South Somerset, Psychotherapy South Somerset, Psychotherapy North Dorset

Osteopathy is a natural and effective therapy which utilises the inherent health of the body to improve function, releasing, unwinding and re-balancing acute and chronic strain patterns, as well as supporting well-being. Osteopaths incorporate a holistic treatment approach in examination, diagnosis and treatment of various conditions, and attempt to facilitate connection to the inherent potential for health within each individual.

A fundamental Osteopathic concept is that the body has an innate ability to self regulate and self-repair. Osteopathic treatment incorporates this philosophy, and treatment is designed to aid and restore the natural regulatory function of the body, when this process is struggling to maintain health. Osteopaths acknowledge that health is not just about the absence of pain or disease it is also about experiencing well being.

Treatment:
When seeing Danielle for the first time she will take a full case history which involves asking questions about the nature and the history of the patients current symptoms and their past medical history.

During the confidential case history, examination, diagnosis and treatment you are welcome to ask questions. Danielle will endeavour to communicate openly and effectively with you during your appointments. Danielle treats men and women of all ages, as well as pregnant women, babies and children. She prefers to treat using a Cranial Biodynamic approach but also uses manual Osteopathic techniques when she feels these would be helpful.
