Osteopathy

Cranial Osteopathy South Somerset, Psychotherapy South Somerset, Psychotherapy North Dorset

Osteopathy is a natural and effective therapy which utilises the inherent health of the body to improve dysfunctions within the musculo-skeletal system, releasing, unwinding and re-balancing acute and chronic strain patterns, as well as supporting well-being. Osteopaths incorporate a holistic treatment approach in examination, diagnosis and treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions, and attempt to achieve the best potential for health within each individual.

A fundamental Osteopathic concept is that the body has an innate ability to self regulate and self-repair. Osteopathic treatment incorporates this philosophy, and treatment is designed to aid and restore the natural regulatory function of the body, when this process is stuck or is struggling to maintain health. Osteopaths acknowledge that health is not just about the absence of pain or disease it is also about experiencing well being.

When seeing Dani for the first time she will take a full case history which involves asking questions about the nature and the history of the patients current symptoms and their past medical history.

During the confidential case history, examination, diagnosis and treatment you are welcome to ask questions.
